About

Hi I'm Kelly. At 42 I decided to pursue my dream of becoming an interior designer. So I applied to Wolverhampton University, and here I am at age 43 in my second year studying for my degree. Design In Colour Blog started as my way to document the things I learn along the way, but hopefully a resourceful platform for like minded enthusiasts, offering tips, designs and tutorials. My blog covers a wide range of topics, and I will try to share my knowledge through storytelling and visuals.

Learning from each other and viewing different perspectives is what good design is about. I have 5 children, 2 of which have additional needs. For the last 22 years looking into design of adaptable living has been a way of life for us. There are many good designs but unfortunately still many bad designs. In an ideal world we should all feel inclusive. Design shouldn't make anyone feel a second thought or worst still completely forgotten.

I'm really enjoying looking into sustainable materials and eco friendly design and living.
