If you recently saw the photos of Lily Allen and David Harbours home in Boston, like me you may be looking for ways to recreate this style in your own home. The house was designed by interior designer Billy Cotton and it is STUNNING! The couples home has gone viral and really divided opinion. But this style makes my heart sing.

So, if you don't have millions or even thousands to spend on a revamp it is possible to take elements and add them to your own interior.

The design has a traditional English feel to it, with a layered Italian design, as the house is set in an old Italian neighbourhood . It's maximalist heaven for sure! I love the colour palette, mix of beautiful designer and vintage pieces, and the use of pattern on pattern.

So how can you recreate this in your own home?

I've put a mood board together using high street finds.

Look at Facebook market place, eBay, vintage and charity shops for bargains.

The sitting room has a beautiful painted green ceiling, which is matched along the skirting board, coving, door and window frames setting the colour tone of the room. The blue floral wallpaper co-ordinates and adds interest to the walls almost like a huge art piece of the English countryside. Although the layering is maximalist I think the actual styling is paired back. You may notice that there are no cushions and minimal ornaments letting the walls speak for themself. It is most definitely brave, bold and beautiful!

This may not be everyone's taste but if it is here's a few links to get you started. You can pick out elements or go for the full look.
