This year I visited the Autumn Fair which was held at the NEC Birmingham.

The Autumn Fair is the seasons number one place to visit for home and gifts. The exhibition is packed with up coming home decor designs, retail insight and loads of inspiration.

This year there were plenty of guest speakers, including my favourite Mary Portas. There was a lot of talks about sustainability, within design and also how to be a sustainable retailer.

I took a few photos of my favourite stands and products. So this post is really a very quick snippet into the day.

I loved the pops of colour on this stand. Mixing bright colours with more traditional furniture. The stand really stood out and there was plenty to look at. I really love the lamps, I've been thinking of upcycling some old lamps and this has given me some inspiration.

A complete contrast to the previous stand, is this exhibitor. The pieces displayed are stunning. It has a very calm classy feel. The company are based in Amsterdam. I love all the earthy tones.

These vases caught my eye. I love how they have been displayed through an open book shelf. The transparency of the glass allows you to look though but the colours used are just so pretty. They look lovely displayed together without the need to add flowers.

Another favourite stand was Sass and Belle, it was set out like a house that you pop into each room. It was absolutely lovely. It felt cosy and inviting and the people working on the stand were equally lovely to talk to.

Beautiful pots

This particular stand was huge. The rooms were again set out as a home, which you could walk from room to room. A very elegant stand with layers of texture and quite a lot of natural wood mixed with dark colours.

Quite a rustic stand with lots of beautiful woods and natural materials in their products.

The Autumn Fair was a really interesting day out. It's given me plenty of inspiration for my own home as well as projects for Uni work. Especially looking at layouts of exhibition stands which is a project we are working on at the moment.
